    > https://share.2ez.cc/upload/W3eSqEybHayORcI2K1zRa8bT/sleamdge-error what linux distribution is that?

  8. nicoco

where does the python interpreter come from, did you compile it yourself?

  9. nicoco

if you did compile python yourself, you may need sqlite3 headers. tell me what linux distribution you are using and I'll be able to help more

  10. debacle is happy: slidge 0.2.12 and matridge 0.2.3 made it into Debian 13 trixie (testing) now!

    > if you did compile python yourself, you may need sqlite3 headers. tell me what linux distribution you are using and I'll be able to help more im unsure of what distro it is, i believe its running in a container. its an app cloud hosted prosody server from knthost

  12. handstand

    python was already installed

  13. nicoco

…but compiled without sqlite support for some reason it seems

  14. nicoco

do you have podman or docker in there?

  15. handstand

    neither

  16. handstand

or if you're asking what its running on, i dont know

  17. handstand

is there a way to check?

  18. handstand

    oh its freebsd

  19. nicoco

handstand: according to <https://stackoverflow.com/questions/37827089/how-to-use-sqlite3-in-python-on-freebsd> you need to "install databases/py-sqlite3"

  20. jsb

    With pkg, it's py<ver>-sqlite3, like py311-sqlite3

  21. jsb

It should pull in all of the necessary dependencies

    > that is weird, `/.local/` is very unusual, usually pipx installs stuff in `~/.local`. How did you end up there? All is installed in `~/.local/share/pipx/`. I don't know for why he is trying to do that. I can't access the server config for the moment, but I will double check each path and options.

So, if I wanted to try and improve the docs to make it easier to set up a bridge without searching a lot (for example wording for config files mislead me, leading to 10 hours of debugging yesterday) would that be a welcome contribution?

  24. erebion

I really just want to improve some wording for clarity.

    > So, if I wanted to try and improve the docs to make it easier to set up a bridge without searching a lot (for example wording for config files mislead me, leading to 10 hours of debugging yesterday) would that be a welcome contribution? hell yeah, all contributions are welcome!

  29. nicoco

there a "edit this page" button on the top right of each documentation page, unfortunately it only works if you forked the corresponding repo on codeberg first cf <https://codeberg.org/forgejo/forgejo/issues/2967>

  30. f_

Hmmm did the latest version of matridge remove that option that makes you able to send messages without manually verifying each and every device of each recipient?

  31. nicoco

f_: no but it's a per user setting now

  32. nicoco

    Use the "preferences" command
